Rules for granting honorary patronage or participation of the Director of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra in an honorary committee
General Principles
These rules define the requirements and procedure for granting honorary patronage by the Director of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra, hereinafter referred to as the “Director”, or for the Director’s participation in an honorary committee, hereinafter referred to as “patronage.”
Detailed Rules
The Director grants honorary patronage as a form of special recognition for initiatives thematically related to the mission and scope of tasks carried out by official statistics, which are characterised by a high substantive and organisational standard.
Honorary patronage may be granted only to initiatives of regional (voivodeship), national, or international scope.
The Director does not grant patronage to commercial initiatives.
For recurring events, a separate application for patronage must be submitted for each edition.
The granting of patronage does not imply any financial or organisational support for the initiative.
Information about the patronage granted by the Director is published in the “List of honorary patronages and membership in honorary committees granted by the Director of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra” in the Public Information Bulletin on the website of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra.
In the case of granted patronage, the organiser is obliged to:
- inform co-organisers and participants of the event about the granted honorary distinction,
- include information about the patronage in all promotional and informational materials.
Procedure for Granting Honorary Patronage
The organiser shall submit an application for honorary patronage no later than 60 days before the commencement of the event.
The application form referred to in paragraph 1, constituting an annex to these Rules, is available on the website of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra.
The application must be accompanied by the event programme and regulations. Where necessary, the Director may request additional information from the organiser.

Information on the Director’s decision to grant or refuse honorary patronage shall be communicated to the organiser in writing within 30 days from the date of submission of the application. No appeal procedure is available against a decision refusing the granting of honorary patronage. In justified cases, the Director may revoke the decision granting honorary patronage or withdraw from participation in the honorary committee. The organiser shall be notified of such a decision in writing.
